We began looking at typeface's that would suit the TopDog brands. We chose to decide on a typeface so that we can design with that in mind, the overall ident of the brand will flow throughout the materials we print.
The choice of typeface came after some experimenting with different styles. Looking at a thick black typeface, a hand written typeface, and uppercase typeface helped shaped the decision of using an uppercase typeface for the main logo.
This is because it will stand out and be easily legible, even when the logo is made smaller.
The typeface used in the logo is called Blanch and was found online. This is a good typeface to use because there are so many different weights. Meaning within other designs and material different, fonts can be used but will overall it will keep the same identity.
