I experimented with a range of colours from each end of the rainbow, from bright and block to pastel. This was so I could make a very educated decisions, I also asked a few people who don't study design to give me their opinion. This was really helpful because it was from this little crit that I decide on the colour.
Final Logo colour and composition
The colour choice came from a lot of
experiments and knowing pink will work well because of the meat element. Once
we had picked the pink it was a case of applying that to all the posters, flyers
and other branded elements.
However,
after working it on it for a while and showing it in a crit, it was becoming clear that block pink was
beginning not to work.
Comments from crit -
The
pink we went with first, was quite dark and meaty coloured. But more of a
plastic kind of pink, which could put people off. Having an A3 poster or even
larger with the block pink would definitely be too much and probably off
putting.
